Sun and Moon rise from the same point

L’immagine mostra la Luna e il Sole fotografati mentre sorgono nei giorni prossimi all’eclissi e si nota, dalle sagome degli alberi, che sorgono dallo stesso punto.
L’amico Marco Meniero, in collaborazione con Stefano de Fazi, ha spiegato questo particolare fenomeno che accade ogni 9 anni:
A creare questa coincidenza subentrano:
– Transito della Terra su uno dei nodi in corrispondenza della Luna piena ( che ha generato l’eclissi)
– Posizione della Terra nel punto equinoziale (in questi giorni il Sole sorge esattamente ad Est e tramonta esattamente ad OVEST.
Pertanto, i Nodi lunari, corrispondono ai nodi equinoziali mostrando il sorgere ed anche il tramontare del Sole e della Luna non solo dallo stesso punto ma esattamente ad EST e OVEST, in costellazioni opposte (costellazione della Vergine e del Pesci).

E, tutto questo, avviene ogni 9 anni ( ovvero la metà del periodo SAROS).

“This rare phenomenon happens every nine years (half of the SAROS period) and it involves:
– the transit of the Earth on one of the nodes corresponding to the Full Moon (which generated the eclipse)
– the position of the Earth in the equinoctial point (on these days the sun rises exactly in the east and sets exactly in the west);
The lunar nodes correspond to the equinoctial nodes, showing the rise and the setting of the Sun and the Moon not only from the same point but exactly at EAST and at WEST and in opposite constellations (Virgo and Pisces).”
